Mr. Michael Henriques CallsAug 31, 2017

Michael Henriques Membership Number: 0133289028

I have been a Bupa subscriber for many years. Now aged 75. I was going to my GP for a referral for trapped nerves in my lower lumbar spine. I have self funded almost a years physiotherapy and a private MRI Scan which showed the trapped nerves. I had been recommended to see Mr Cudlip at Oxford Manor Hospital and had been in touch with him. He suddenly had a cancellation on the day before I was due to see my GP for the referral. When I phoned Bupa they said my claim was disqualified because I had seen the specialist before I had engineered the referral. I have therefore had to pay his fee of £300 and as he has referred me on to St Luke's Radiology for a spinal injection I am told I have to self fund this as well. £600 which makes my treatment £900. I think this is an outrageous situation.
