Lal Bahadur Shastri Smarak PG College, Anand Nagar, Distt. Maharajganj Uttar Pradesh Recognized by National Council for Teacher Education for B.Ed. programme has been founded on 20th August, 1973. The college has lush-green, pollution free campus with all infrastructure compatible to any modern educational institution in the Marahganj District. This College has been founded by Late Prof. Shibban Lal Saxena with motto to provide higher education to boys and girls of Maharajganj District. Management of this college is committed to impart qualitative education at higher level. College has dexterously been in service of Education since its inception. Today this Institution has been recognized as one of the best education centre in Maharajganj District.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Smarak PG College is managed by a Society registered under Society Act, 1860 named Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Smarak Degree College Society, Vill. & Post- Farend, Tehsil- Farenda, Anand Nagar, District - Maharajganj. At present there are three faculties in the college Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science & Faculty of Arts , Under these faculties College is running Degree courses B.Sc., M.A., M.Sc. and B.Ed. The academic session of college starts in the month of July and ends in the month of April-May.

The Lal Bahadur Shastri Smarak PG College has paid particular heed to keep the quality of its hostels on par with that of other high profile academic centers of the nation. The Lal Bahadur Shastri Smarak PG College has three well furnished and duly equipped separate boys and girls hostels. The hostels are provided with all the basic amenities like regular water supply electricity, telephone etc. The boys and girls Hostels have their separate common rooms serving as a nice place for students to go for relaxation and recreation. The common rooms are provided with daily newspapers, magazines & a TV. There is a separate modern type gym for both boys & girls.

The present collection of reference works Encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Handbooks, Directories will be further supplemented for the faculty members as well as students.

It has already established well equipped laboratories like Psychology, Science and Education Teach. & Media Teach.
