It is located on both sides of the National Highway-47 and is about 14 km away from Trivandrum Central Railway Station and Central Bus Stand. The campus lies adjacent to Techno Park, where a large number of national and international software companies are functioning. This bourgeoning collection is one of the largest among the established technical institutions in the state capital. Fully computerized, it caters to every need of the ardent scholar. With the commitment to outpace obsolescence both in terms of content and technology, significant funds are allocated towards the acquisition of new books and modernization of existing facilities.The Central library of University College of Engineering - Thiruvananthapuram has nearly 6000 Volumes of books, including 1200 reference books.The library subscibes to more than 60 journals and periodicals, both Indian and foreign. Library transactions (issue, return, renewal,booking,) are fully computerised. Both computerised and hard copy catelogues are available. There is also a collection of more than 150 multimedia CDs. Photocopying facility is provided for the convenience of users.
University College of Engineering - Thiruvananthapuram have 3 computer labs(Internet Lab, Multimedia lab Lab,Network Lab) each equipped with 30 machines.Internet facility is available through the optical fibre network in the campus.The state of the art computer centre is equipped with an all IBM NetVista branded desktop PCs networked with IBM-e server. IBM e-sever X series, powered by RAID support, running windows 2000 server. There is 24-hour leased line connection in the campus, an this is connected to all departments (including our Computer Centre) through an Optical Fibre Network. University College of Engineering - Thiruvananthapuram has well developed Electrical Laboratory with state of the art equipments and accessories. This lab helps the students to develop ideas about the advanced microwave equipments, and analyse circuits using opamps & various IC's. Students can implement their innovative ideas in communication system in this Lab. This lab provides the working environment for the project developments (Main projects, miniproject).We have full-fledged workshop sections for Smithy, Foundry, Carpentry, Fitting, Sheet Metal & Plumbing.
