Acharya Narendra Dev College-ANDC was founded in 1991 as a constituent college of University of Delhi. It is fully funded by Government of NCT, Delhi. The college is named after Acharya Narendra Deva who was a great educationist and reformist of modern India. Over the years, the college has obtained reputation for the quality of education imparted to the students, the discipline and dedication of the students and the faculty. Extracurricular activities such as sports, theatre, debates, music, eco-club, NSS etc engage students when they are not in class.
Located on the outskirts of Village Rajokri in South Delhi,
Acharya Narendra Dev College-ANDC started out with an interim allotment of four rooms in a SPS structure in R. K. Puram Sector 4 School. The college enrolled its first batch of students and began its teaching programs with only two courses - B.Com. Honors and B.Sc General 'A' and only eighty students. In August 1992, the college moved to its current location in Govindpuri, Kalkaji, which had just been vacated by Shaheed Bhagat Singh College and started with B.Sc (Hons) Electronics and B.Sc General Computer Science. Later the college added courses like B.Sc (Hons) in Physics and Chemistry in 1993, Botany, Zoology and Mathematics in 1994, B.Sc General 'B' group and B.Sc General Sericulture in 1995 and PGDCA in 1996. The Foreign Language Centre was established later in 2003 with certificate courses in French, Spanish, German and Russian. In 2005, the higher module of Diploma in foreign languages was also established.

The library is vast and serves as good support for the teaching-learning process. Courses offered are Bachelor of Science for pure and applied science streams such as Biomedical Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Botany and Zoology and B.Sc. in Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. It also offers B.Sc. Honours Biomedical Sciences and the is the only one to run B.Sc. General in Sericulture (later B.Sc. Programme in Applied Life Science - the course has been discontinued from this session onwards).Besides the science courses,
Acharya Narendra Dev College-ANDC offers Honours in Mathematics and Commerce. Students can also enroll for the Masters Degree of University of Delhi in Chemistry and Mathematics. The college also offers Post Graduate Diploma Course in Computer Application (PGDCA) and part-time certificate and diploma courses in foreign languages -French, German, Spanish and Russian. Besides, three Add-on courses also enhance the students' personality and provide them learning opportunities.
