Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Science – ANITS Visakhapatnam was established in the Academic Year 2001-02 with the approval of the All India Council for Technology Education (AICTE), New Delhi.ANES has been founded by Dr. N. B. R. Prasad, an NRI Philanthropist from USA, in memory of his son, Late Anil Neerukonda. Working with missionary zeal, unrelenting commitment and strong financial backing, Dr.Prasad, along with his friends, planned and completed the construction of a $6 million Venkateswara Temple in greater Chicago area, and this temple of higher learning. ANES was registered at Visakhapatnam on 7th of August, 2000.

Objectives of Anil Neerukonda Institute of Technology and Science – ANITS Visakhapatnam are to organize, establish and manage both Technical and Non-Technical Colleges and Charitable Institutions without any motive of profit. To train pupils to be good and responsible citizens by nurturing their potentiality to play a useful and effective role in the society.
