Established in 1996, the Hindustan College of Science and Technology-HCST functions under the aegis of Sharda Group of Institutions (SGI), SGI holds the distinction of being the largest education trust in northern part of India. Hindustan College of Science and Technology is situated at Agra-Delhi Highway (NH-2), Farah, Distt. Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. It is housed in beautiful building complex with 6,00,000 sq.ft of covered area built on campus area of 34 acres. This college is amongst the first self financed college in North India & is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and offers Bachelor of Technology degree in various branches of engineering. Most of the programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), awarded for its high quality of teaching learning processes, facilities & excellence in its academic activities comparable to the best anywhere in the globe. A high-speed optical fibre structured Network using Cisco Managle devices allows all students to access a range of services across our campus including all computer labs. The computer labs house more than 750 Computer Systems. The Hindustan College of Science and Technology-HCST has wide range of Software of Microsoft, SUN and Oracle platforms. Our labs are equipped with entire suite of Microsoft Product (Windows 2003 Server, Windows XP, Visual Studio, NET Server, MS SQL Server-2000) under MSDN Academic Alliance Program besides UNIX, LINUX ( Multi Versions and flavours ) Data bases (MS-SQL Server-2000, Oracle 9i), Tools (VB, VC++, VI, JDK1.2) etc. The Labs are connected to the internet by a 13 Mbps leased line with redundant back ups , thereby providing unlimited Wireless and Wired internet access to students and faculty members. All the Offices, Labs, Cabins of faculty, and hostel rooms have been provided internet connectivity for 24 X 7.

The Central Library of Hindustan College of Science and Technology-HCST began its existence in 1996. Since then it has grown in size and contents along with the college to take the present shape. All these years, it has been played role of the lifeline for the academic activities of the college. At present it stands as a modern library with a lot of automation and networking. Central library serves the academic needs about 4500 students & 325 faculty & staff members. The central Library is well equipped with all modern facilities and resources as CD-Rom, Online database, Journals, Audio- Video Cassettes, Dissertations / Project reports etc. Collection of the Central Library has grown up to more than 97310 books and more than 1000 bound Journals / Periodicals. The collection is mainly stored of Science & Technology. We are currently involved utilizing the networked information through access of DELNET, INTERNET, OPAC etc.

The Hindustan College of Science and Technology-HCST has very well equipped Workshop & Lab facilities and students are encouraged to aquire application skills and practically verify the knowledge in the class room. Various departments and programmes have their independent labs and workshops. HCST labs and workshops are amongst the best equipped in the country second only to the Govt. funded IIT's. Well equipped laboratories exist for physics, chemistry, applied mechanics, fluid machanics, thermodynamics and IC engines, product & process development, material testing, R&D, advanced computation, CAD, CAM and are supervised by competent faculty members and instructors. The sports department of the college is very much devoted to built healthy citizens for the country. Various indoor and outdoor games and sports activities are the part of the college calendar schedule. Students have the facility of 04 indoor & 07 outdoor games e.g. billiard, & snookers, gymnasium, cricket, football, basketball, tennis, table-tennis, badminton, volleyball etc.

The Hindustan College of Science and Technology-HCST management and administration are quite aware that students hostel located inside the campus would facilitate better participation by the students in the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, even long after the college working hours. Hostel accommodation to 100% of the girls applicants is provided. To the boys, prior allotment on first come first served basis is done- so immediately after the admission is granted - the students should apply to the Chief Warden of the concerned SGI college for seeking hostel accommodation. Separate decent on campus accommodation for boys and girls, in clean and hygienic ambience amidst green surroundings with 24 hrs electric and water supply are available. Students are welcome to visit and witness the facilities for their satisfaction. On the average 40% of the students stay in hostels; about 25% with their parents and relatives and the rest (mainly students of senior years) in private rented accommodation in the adjoining city habitats.
