I bought the red soup pot that is white on the inside and have used it only a few times. The last time was this week to make tortilla soup. When I went to serve out of the pot, I realized that the soup was burned on the bottom. I put the soup in a different container and saw that there was an area about five or six inches across of burned on food that was about 1/2 inch thick. Nothing I did (washing, soaking in hot water, adding soap and soaking, etc. Would soften the mass at all. Finally, my husband took a wooden spatula and scraped most of it out. But black residue remains. I cook on an electric stove, but the heat was never higher than six after the soup mix was added to the boiling water. I am concerned about ever using the pot again. What should I do to prevent this from happening?.
