I reserved a place on the Big Island of hawaii about two months ago for our family vacation in August. Then there was the 6. seven earthquake, dozens of other earthquakes, flowing laving, erupting volcanos and spewing poisonous gases. The governor has declared the situation a disaster and it is not a safe situation for my family. The scary thing is that eruptions are predicted to just get more and more intense. I submitted a regretful request for cancellation to my host and she agreed in email to reimburse me in full. Then i found out Airbnb actually is holding my money and their policy when i cancelled online stated only half my money, $2000 plus would be given back. I contend that this is a special circumstance that should merit a full reimbursement, because if the island hadn't started erupting violently and become a disaster area, we would not have canceled. I am Achla Gumbhir from India. I recently became a new host in Airbnb some 15 days back. In my pay out preferences I have entered all my Bank details and it was mentioned that those details would be verified within five working days, but till date it is showing verification pending. Now I have started getting inquiries and I have even booked one guest, but unless my accounts are verified how can i host a guest. And If Ill loose any of my guest due to Airbnb's fault then Ill withdraw my listing. I can very well run a Bread and Breakfast business alone. It will be a loss for both of us if you not update things on time. Please verify it and let me know. Thanks

My refund of 4522 rupees is credited to PayU account, at least that's what the email I received says so, except that I do not even have a PayU account. There is no way in which I can contact this Airbnb support system. I want the details of my refund within less than 24 hours or else I am going to take this up with the authorities.

My complaint:1. Airbnb website seems designed to make it difficult for the host to contact a customer care person by phone. The "Contact Us" link sends me on an infinite loop of "login in" request even though I have already logged in. 2. When I used other method to finally find a Airbnb customer service number, all that person can do is to create a case and forward to some other department of Airbnb to handle. No one contacted on the day of my call for help. SuggestionsAirbnb should improve its interface to make most frequently needed information available in obvious places, not hidden three layers deep under one of the many tabs. Airbn should have dedicated team to handle time sensitive calls that deal with what is happening NOW.

Airbnb has non existent customer service. They do not want to correct a problem they acknowledge is true. I paid for a long term rental, the host cancelled. They said they would issue a credit and now they want another first month payment and they said my original payment and the deposit will be applied at the end. They are blackmailing me. I work in a restaurant and my hours vary from day to day and she knew that when she rented the room to me! Since I am a gamer, she wanted me to go to bed as soon as I came home and get up at six AM and play video games. She wanted me to change my whole life style for her!
