N G Acharya and D K Marathe College of Arts, Science and Commerce – Mumbai was established in 1978 by Chembur Trombay Education Society. It is ideally located in the heart of Chembur on N. G. Acharya Marg between Chembur and Govandi Railway Stations and is served by a number of BEST bus routes. As the first degree college in Chembur, it was started with the aim to cater to the higher education needs of the students from Chembur and the neighboring areas.
N G Acharya and D K Marathe College of Arts, Science and Commerce – Mumbai is staffed by dedicated, experienced and qualified teachers and offers HSC in Arts/Science/Commerce in Junior college and B, A./B. Sc/B. Com, degree courses. We also conduct professional courses like BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies), B. Sc. (Information Technology), B. Sc. (Computer Science), B. Com. (Accounting and Finance) B. Com. (Banking and Insurance), and post-graduate courses in M. Com. and M. Sc. (Chemistry) as unaided courses. We have started Business Management as a special subject at T.Y.BCom. from 2007 and five year Law from 2010. We also propose to start Botany & Zoology at TY. B.Sc level (Subject to approval from the University and Govt.),M.M.S.,M.Sc.(Chemistry by Research).

The college has more than 7000 students in Junior, Degree and Self-Finance courses. Along with studies, the college encourages co-curricular activities. In an on-going programme, our college endeavors to help students in their overall development. The college campus has a well-laid basket ball court, big sports ground and an obstacle ground which has been developed as per the requirements of the N.C.C. unit. We also propose to construct a separate seven storied building for future needs.
N G Acharya and D K Marathe College of Arts, Science and Commerce – Mumbai library has a rich collection of nearly 25,000 books of Arts, Science and Commerce. It subscribes to over 60 academic and popular periodicals and 20 journals and 12 Newspapers. Library has two Reading Halls attached to it . Students can use them from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The college has well equipped laboratories each for Physics, Chemistry, Biology. College has three Computer labs with more than 100 computers and Internet facility.
N G Acharya and D K Marathe College of Arts, Science and Commerce – Mumbai provides to the students maximum possible facilities for playing both indoor and outdoor games. The college provides facilities to students to participate in various inter collegiate sports events at state and national levels. The college has its own big playground and a Gymnasium. The college has a big canteen which provides quality food at reasonable rates.

It is extensively used for conducting interviews and meetings. College has advanced publishing machine and copier that is extensively used by students and college authorities alike. College has acquired many musical instruments like key board to facilitate our own students to form their own band and to play musical instruments during cultural activities. College has a fairly large size open ground. This ground is very helpful for sports and N.C.C. activities and also provides ample parking place.

These trees serve as home to many seasonal migratory birds. Various companies, Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies etc. approach the college for campus interviews. The college has a team of trained teachers for providing personal & career counselling to the students.
