Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering - BMCE kollam was established in 2002 by Baselios Mathews II, the then Catholicos & Malankara Metropolitan of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering - BMCE kollam is located in Sasthamcotta in Kollam district of Kerala. BMCE’s reputation for excellence and opportunity attracts some of the most talented students in the state. The college is spread across an area of 65 acres of land beside Sasthamcottah fresh water lake, in the village of Muthupilakadu, which is about 5 kms away from Sathamcottah. The Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering - BMCE kollam aims to promote academic excellence in students through curriculum and other extension activities.
The Baselios Mathews II College of Engineering - BMCE kollam has good facilities for students. The Computer Centre has more than 200 systems. Most of the systems are connected by LAN. The library has around 5000 books and periodicals. All students are encouraged to contribute at least one book to the school library. The laboratories are fully equipped according to the guidelines of AICTE. Accommodation is provided for more than 200 boys and girls in separate hostels.
